ReVersaRose Now

The Evolution

I believe that everyone in this life has a gift. I was given the gift of healing. Whether it is to listen, to be a helping help, or to give, I succeed in all. Throughout my life, I used to wonder why people were so trusting in me and at first, it upset me, but now I realized that’s the role I play and the role I’m good at. I’ve used this gift in ways it now fulfills me. I love being a skin healer.

When I started ReVersaRose in November of 2019, I had no idea what the future of my business would hold. I thought I was going to make skincare and that was the end of it. A friend once told me that I was like a “baby bonsai” and had referenced that you can water a bonsai plant and see no growth, but after 9 months of continuous watering and nourishment, it’ll take off and flourish. I watered my business and I kept going. I questioned myself and my ability….a lot. “Is it worth it?” “Am I good at this?” Should I quit?” Just like the baby bonsai reference, I had an opportunity to open a storefront in Shepherdstown, West Virginia and jumped on it. Yes! I was growing! August 15th, 2020 (yes, in the middle of the pandemic), I opened my first brick-and-mortar skincare shop. When I look back on photos, it makes me smile (and cringe) at how empty the shop was, but that’s the whole point of growing. Nothing happens overnight. Things take time. If it’s within God’s plan, he will make it happen.

In 2021, a facial studio across the street closed and many of her clients visited me and asked when I would start offering facial services. I wish someone had taken photo of my face because it always took me by surprise. I shook my head no and said, “Yeah…I don’t think so”, however; more and more people were asking and I took it as a sign to continue growing. After a whole year of putting it off, I finally started esthetician school of February 2022. After visiting a few schools, my heart aligned with The Salon Professional Academy in Washington DC. I wanted this to be a memorable part of my life and truly made it a journey. I woke up each morning and caught the Marc train at 6:45a.m., arrived at Union Station at 8:30a.m., walked a couple blocks to school, stayed until 4:00p.m., and caught the train home. I didn’t get back until 6p.m. and would spend the rest of my time making skincare before I passed out. Monday through Friday for 4 months. I opened the shop on the weekends and made it work. I graduated on July 1st, 2021 and took my board in October where I became officially licensed in DC and WV.

In October of 2022, I opened a second location in Harpers Ferry, WV that is a private facial & brow studio. I use ReVersaRose Organic Skincare for my facials as I can always ensure how it’s made and the benefits it serves for the skin. Plant remedies chosen for specific benefits without synthetic additives, artificial fragrances, and performance enhancing benefits. I am all about natural facial treatments using my organic skincare in additional to using the most powerful tool: my hands. Popular skincare services (dermaplane, chemical peel, microdermabrasion, microneedling, LED light therapy) have no place in my business as I believe they are aggressive on our skin. I utilize inner and outer healing as a way to appropriately (and naturally) achieve our skin goals. Facial massage, lymphatic drainage, cupping, gua sha is here to stay.

Thank you for supporting me. I was just a girl with a dream and never knew the bonsai that I’d grow to be. My business is everything to me. I love it. I love making skincare. I love helping people. I love doing facial services. I thank God every day. Without Him, I don’t know where I would be or what I would being doing.
